Ghent University states that it was founded in 1817 and is organised in 11 faculties with supporting departments. It says it offers more than 200 programmes, including 69 English-taught master's programmes, and that it operates on several sites in Belgium as well as a campus in South Korea. The university gives its motto as 'Dare to Think'.

Egerton University is a public university at Njoro in Nakuru County, Kenya, with additional campuses in Nakuru town and Nairobi. Its own site describes ten faculties - Agriculture, Arts and Social Sciences, Commerce, Education and Community Studies, Engineering and Technology, Environment and Resources Development, Health Sciences, Science, Law, and Veterinary Medicine and Surgery - and states that it has 52 academic departments offering over 215 academic programmes. It dates its founding to 1939 and presents itself as the oldest institution of higher learning in Kenya.
