The Technical University of Kenya (TU-K) is a public technical university on Haile Selassie Avenue in Nairobi, created by elevating the Kenya Polytechnic University College to university status under the Universities Act, 2012. It is organised into three faculties - Engineering and the Built Environment, Applied Sciences and Technology, and Social Sciences and Technology - whose departments cover architecture and planning, civil, chemical, electrical, mechanical and aerospace engineering, surveying, computing, chemistry, biological and health sciences, mathematics, business, creative arts and media, and hospitality. Its intake portal lists programmes at certificate, diploma, bachelor's, postgraduate certificate and diploma, master's and PhD level.
